How advertising and sponsored content work on this site.
StoryTide Daily is free to read. We plan to support our work through display advertising and, in the future, possibly affiliate links and clearly labeled sponsored content. This page explains how each works and how we keep it separate from our journalism.
Current status
At the time of the date below, StoryTide Daily does not publish sponsored content or affiliate links. We intend to show display ads served by Google AdSense. When any of this changes, we will update this page.
Display advertising
Ads appear in marked areas of the site and are selected by the ad network, not by our editors. Advertisers do not choose, review or approve our articles. Ad networks such as Google may use cookies to show ads, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Affiliate links
If we ever use affiliate links, an article that contains them will say so near the top. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. A commission never determines whether or how we recommend something.
Sponsored content
Paid content, if we publish any, will always be labeled “Sponsored” or “Partner content” at the top of the page and kept separate from our editorial articles. Paid links will use the appropriate rel=”sponsored” attribute.
